Twins Ellie and Louise Macnamara aka Heathers continue at pace their non-stop rise
internationally, building on the hugely successful release of their Choice Music nominated
second album 'Kingdom' ; produced by Max Dingel (White Lies, Killers) and the success of
their 2016 singles 'November' ; & 'Call Home' ;. Having recently completed recording with
legendary producer Liam Howe (Lana Del Ray, Marina & The Diamonds, Ellie Goulding),
Heathers are gearing up for a new release in 2017.
Heathers found instant international success with their first album 'Here, Not There' , an
acoustic-only project which was released through Warner Music Ireland in 2010 and
featured the #1 hit 'Remember When' .
They have also experienced tremendous success in the world of Film & TV, with 'Forget Me
Knots' and the highly evocative 'Listen Don’t Speak' both featured in the same episode of
90210 on CBS in the US. This followed other placements of their music on the hit US TV show
Mob Wives on VH1, as well as The Voice, X Factor, Waterloo Road and various other well
known shows in the UK. During this period, the duo signed deals with Universal Music
Publishing, Sony Music Canada, Sony Red, & Warner Music Germany.
2014 also marked a particularly special occasion when Heathers were invited to perform for
Steven Spielberg and JJ Abrams at the latter Hollywood director’s Oscar party in Santa
Monica as part of a wider tour of the US. Abrams quoted after the event; "this year, Dublin
band Heathers played (at the pre-Oscars party) and my daughter is just nuts about them. We
haven’t stopped listening to them since!"
